Private Residence

Addison, VT

Renovations to a historic Vermont farmstead. Stone walls tie the architecture into the sloping site creating stepped outdoor rooms with views west to the Adirondack Mountain range. Modern bluestone and grass terraces accent an elegant lap pool hovers at the edge of a sloping meadow and unites the 19th century barns and outbuildings with the renovation and addition of the main house. Fragrant plantings of Russian Sage and Thyme surround an outdoor shower. Native grasses and perennials sweep through the site, blending into the adjacent meadows.
